Protect Your Search Information

The default search engine on the Android Google mobile browser is the Google search engine. The good news is that you are able to change it to either, Bing, Yahoo, or DuckDuckGo. DuckDuckGo is our choice for the default search engine becuase they do not track your search data.

Below are the instructions for changing the default search engine on Android devices:

Google Chrome Mobile

  1. Open Google Chrome Browser on your device
  2. Tap on the options button for Options
  3. Select Settings from the list
  4. Tap on the Search engine tab. As you can see, the default search engine is the Google Search Engine
  5. Tap the DuckDuckGo search engine to change the search engine on your device
